A DALLAS INSTITUTION IN HIGHLAND PARK

Since 2022, Sadelle’s has been sharing its most iconic recipes with Dallas residents over breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. In describing the experience at the refined yet warm dining destination, the Dallas Observer wrote, “Part old-school delicatessen, part fine-dining institution, Sadelle’s brings the best of both worlds. Fresh bagels? Check. Cup of joe? Check. Turkey on rye with cole slaw? Check…and there is much more to this establishment than the staples.”

Sadelle’s is named after Major Food Group Co-Founder Jeff Zalaznick’s great-grandmother, whose recipes and sense of fun around the table were simply without equal.

THE CUISINE

Among the restaurant’s many signatures are celebratory bagel towers accompanied by the finest smoked fish, abundant chopped salads, perfectly prepared triple-decker sandwiches, and specialties that range from an absolutely unforgettable French Toast to the house cheeseburger.

ALWAYS AN OCCASION

Caviar and ice-cold vodka are always available for those who want to make their meal an occasion. Even the martinis are an institution.

THE KIDS’ MENU

At Sadelle’s, children are greeted with their own menu on a specially designed clipboard, along with a sheet of signature stickers. Classics like a Special Cheeseburger, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and Crispy Popcorn Chicken are made with ingredients of the highest quality and presented in proper portion sizes. For those beginning to expand their culinary journey, there is a A Petite Roasted Salmon with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. Always a favorite is Breakfast for Dinner, with flapjack short stacks prepared with a choice of Valrhona chocolate, fresh strawberries, strawberry coulis, fresh blueberries, fresh whipped cream, and grade-A maple syrup.

The Sadelle’s Kids’ Menu is nut-free and additional gluten-free options are available upon request.

THE BIG PINK CAKE

The signature dessert at Sadelle’s is the “Big Pink Cake,” beautiful, whimsical and featuring fourteen layers of vanilla bean-infused sponge cake, fresh strawberry jam and whipped cream, decorated in Valrhona strawberry chocolate whipped frosting and finished with glazed strawberries. This dessert takes two days to prepare, and is most certainly meant to be shared!

The Big Pink Cake is also available for Birthday events, serving up to 16 adults or 32 children.

THE CAFE

Open from 7 am to 7 pm seven days a week, The Café at Sadelle’s is the place to pop in for a perfect coffee, a refreshing signature beverage, craveable breakfast tacos and sandwiches, and much more.
